Line cell functions, organized by their Operation (OP) numbers.

OP 100 (Module Prep), 

OP 200 (Module Marriage & Assembly),

OP 300 (Pack Enclosure & Final Finishing).

Loop 1: Module Preparation (OP 100 Series) Preparing individual battery modules before they are combined into larger packs.

  • OP 100 – Input & Vision Scanning:
    • A Lucid/Keyence vision systems
  • OP 110 – Bracket & Board Installation:
    • Bosch anti-static boards/trays.
  • OP 120 – Module Electrical Testing:
    • voltage, temperature, and ACIR (Internal Resistance) CHECKS
  • OP 130 – Module Reject Spur:
    • diverted here to be pulled off the line if rejected.

Loop 2: Marriage & "Ladder" Assembly (OP 200 Series)Merging the modules : Adhesive Application, and Busbar Installation. 

  • OP 210 (A/B) – Cooling Fin Install & Leak Test:
    • OP 210A: Installation of cooling fins and cooling connectors onto the ladder frame. Vision cameras verify presence/alignment.
    • OP 210B: Pfeiffer Vacuum leak testing. The station presses down on the ladder to perform an automated leak check on the upper and lower sections.
  • OP 220 – Ladder Loading:
  • OP 230 – "Marriage Station" & Adhesive: Modules are bonded to the frame.
    • Rotary table/turntable and 4 adhesive dispensing units.
    • Robots:
      • Kawasaki BX200: Picks and places the modules.
      • Kawasaki RS013: dedicated dispensing robot that applies the thermal glue/adhesive
      • Additional Robots TDB.
    • Curing: Drying Tunnel
